ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter joined the John Kincade Show for his weekly hit (Wednesdays at 8:10am) to talk all things football and the NFL. The Eagles enter their week 2 game against Minnesota having to clean a lot of things up from a sloppy win in Detroit. Defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon addressed the media Tuesday and had an interesting nugget.

"we set up the game plan a certain way and say 'hey we want to come out of the game looking like this' and we do that with the head coach and with Howie."

So Howie is in the room going over the defensive gameplan? While we are all Howie fans now a days, I dont know how many people want him breaking down the X's and O's with the coaching staff. Adam Schefter weighed in on that quote and found it a little hard to believe.

"I have never heard of Howie being involved in gameplan meetings. Its honestly hard for me to imagine that. Maybe hes walked in on meetings to listen in and get an idea of whats going on. But I would be flabbergasted if Howie is apart of those meetings and having an input on the defense. There's no way....there's no way.

The big news in the division however was the fact that Dak Prescott will be out for a reported 6-8 weeks with a thumb injury. But while that is the prognosis owner Jerry Jones thinks Dak will be back in 4 weeks, not 6-8. Bob Cooney asked Adam what was more likely.

"There's a difference between return to play and a return to performance. And if you think that Dak Prescott will have a return to performance after 4 weeks than that's very surprising."
