The long off-season winding road leads us to the Eagles opener in Detroit.
Mark Schlereth of FOX Sports joined us on the John Kincade Show to preview the matchup. Mark is obviously always excited to discuss the play of superior offensive lines.
My thoughts, the Eagles need not be scared of the matchup despite all of the horror stories from opening weeks past. It doesn’t mean that this game can’t be full of land mines, especially after the blowout of the Lions last Halloween. I expect that the Eagles will be slightly better than last year, but the Lions should be too. Offensive line shakiness due to injury should provide numerous opportunities for the Eagles to dial up the pressure. That will end up being a good thing.
The Eagles offense will have a very good start and the defense comes away with 2 turnovers. I’ll call an opening week 30-17 Eagles victory.
