Howie Roseman has never been a perfect GM. On one hand, he is the GM who built the only Super Bowl Champion in Philadelphia history. But then on the other, there have been some recent egregious mistakes. Every fan will tell about them. Taking Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson, taking JJ Arcega Whiteside over DK Metcalf, among other mistakes. It has been ugly at times. But it is maybe time to get over all that. Because in the past two offseasons, Howie has earned some respect.

Last year he added Devonta Smith and Landon Dickerson in the draft. Both look like star players after their rookie seasons. This offseason he not only drafted Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, and Nakobe Dean who all look like great picks thus far, but also traded for AJ Brown, and signed James Bradberry, Kyzir White, and Hasson Reddick. And now, he adds CJ Gardner Johnson to that mix, in a trade with the Saints. Instantly improving the last remaining massive hole on this roster.

He has transformed a roster full of holes, into one that seems very good, at least on paper. They had one of the worst linebacker corps in the league. Now you could call it a strength. James Bradberry gives them perhaps one of the best CB trios in the league. AJ Brown gives them a top 10 WR group. The one remaining question is Jalen Hurts. But Howie has done everything possible to make sure Hurts has every chance to succeed.

I am not saying anyone has to apologize. Because at the time you were right that he was doing a bad job. And it would be accurate to say Howie started the fire that he had to put out over the past two offseasons. But he not only put out that fire but then renovated the house that was burning down.

So you don't need to forgive or forget. The past can't change. But look at the present, and look at how in these past two off-seasons, he has done a great job. He deserves some respect.
