DeVonta Smith isnt from Philadelphia but he is officially a Philadelphia’n. Thanks to The Athletic for this training camp content, we know that celebrities truly ARE “just like us.” Because DeVonta Smith has an addiction….to Wawa.
DeVonta Smith says he’s been eating healthier this offseason, feels bulkier, but has a Wawa addiction. Thinks he eats a sub almost every day, his go-to is the honey turkey.

A lot to unpack in this Bo Wulf 240 characters. First thing that jumps out is the “eats a sub.” I dont know if this was a direct quote from Smith, but if this was Wulf then thats a bad job. We dont eat “subs” in Philly. We eat hoagies. So someone advise Bo, and DeVonta to this error.
The second thing is the fact that Smith shares an addiction that many (myself included) have. Sometimes I find myself in a Wawa parking lot not really sure how I got there. But I may as well go in right? Wawa is our little slice of heaven in the area. Dont listen to the haters! Until you are OUTSIDE of Wawa country, you dont truly know how lucky we are. DeVonta knows. Hes from Louisiana. So the hipster from Fishtown whos sipping his IPA telling you “its not that great” is just plain wrong.
So next time you walk into a Wawa look around, because you may just see a Philadelphia Eagle waiting for his hoagie.
Gallery: Reliving Super Bowl 52
It happened! I witnessed it with my own eyes. The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl.
It was a simpler time. The year was 2018 and the Eagles were known as “The Underdogs.” A rag tag team led by a backup quarterback going against “The Greatest Of All Time.” But they did it! 41-33 and many in the city can now die happy. Relive the moments of the Super Bowl with this trip down memory lane
