On What To Expect From Cam Jurgens
Kelce hand-picked him because they have the same traits and the same way of playing. He's not a small guy, he's a little bigger than Kelce. He is stronger probably than Kelce, he's probably quicker than Kelce. He gets to the second level. Jurgens has all the intangibles that Kelce has, he just doesn't have the experience that Kelce has... He will have to rely on the older guys that have been in the game who understand blitzes. Eventually, he'll get that just by getting reps. But you don't have to worry about effort with him. This guy is going to give max effort, he's going to go out there, he's going to play nasty. I cant wait to see him play.
On Jordan Davis
"The main thing he needs to do is eat up real estate. Just him being there and being a force. He needs to be 3 or 4 yards into the backfield cutting off those running lanes. That's his sole purpose, to be big in the middle of the defense. He's the prototypical, well I can't even say prototypical, because they don't come 6 ft 6, 340 pounds, and run a 4.7 40. That's like a freak of nature. But if he can use that athleticism, and find a mean streak, he could really be a dominant figure in this defense."
On the Scheme of Jonathan Gannon
"(Gannon) has no excuse not to call very aggressive games. He has to be aggressive in his play calling. He can't be scared to send a blitz. They have 3 great corners that can cover. This might be the best trio in the league. Now he has guys who can create pressure... He has to call an aggressive game. I don't want to see corners 10 yards off anymore."
