Tim also got into how safeties could be a potential weak spot in this roster. Finally, he spoke about the humility of Jordan Davis. Here is some of what he had to say.
On If We Will See Changes in Jonathan Gannon's Scheme
"He still fundamentally believes you get beat in his league really quick if your letting up the deep balls over your head. I still think philosophically hes very much in tune with the idea of preventing the explosive balls by getting burnt deep. I don't know that he's going to change that dramatically where the safeties are going to be playing a lot differnt. But I still expect them to challenge more.
On Safeties Being the One Potential Weak Spot
"The safety position remains a concern. Marcus Epps has had a nice training camp. Hes been the one who has sort of stood out. I can't really think of another safety that has consistently done that... You just haven't seen the guys who are supposed to be at the top of the depth chart really making a push to ease the concerns. My eyes are going to be focused there, as I think alot of people's should. No matter how they spin it they are going to be looking for safeties. With a roster that looks as strong as it does, with one potential glaring weak spot, you have to think Howie Roseman will be looking to see if there are any better options out there.
On Jordan Davis Showing Humility
"There is a level of humility to him. Even though he towers over everybody, even though he's a first-round pick. He doesn't have a big head about him... I think there is a lot still under the surface here. But he obviously has this unbelievable ability and size and power. If he can get the technique part down, and it looks he's really working to do that, he could be ridiculously good in this league."
