LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 28: (L-R) Jordan Davis poses with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell onstage after being selected 13th by the Philadelphia Eagles during round one of the 2022 NFL Draft on April 28, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As he has every day so far during Eagles Training Camp, Tim McManus joined “The Best Show Ever?” to give the latest from the team. Today he spoke about Jalen Hurts having a big day, Jordan Davis sticking out, and more.

On Jalen Hurts Having a Big Day Today

“I thought it was Jalen Hurts’ best performance of training camp today… The ball was coming out on time, and generally accurate. We talked that they hadn’t been throwing a lot of TD, and they hadn’t been going deep with the football. But he unfurled a 50-yard pass to Jalen Reagor with Jordan Davis basically on his lap. And it was just perfect. So Jalen Hurts’ arrow is definitely pointing up.”

Jalen Hurts had been struggling the first few days. But according to Tim McManus, it was a very good day for him. He hit a few deep passes and showed some impressive touch. Him playing well in camp doesn’t mean much, just like him struggling didn’t mean much, but it’s good to see him have a good day anyway.

On Jordan Davis Standing Out In Camp

“His attention to detail, the fact he is absorbing everything. He’s in good shape. He has been listening to everything they are putting out there. Those are the signs you look for. And then when you just look at him. These are all very large men, and he dwarfs them all. He is right in the center of that defense. You can tell the effect already he can have on that interior… He is not only absorbing blocks, but he is also able to penetrate and create havoc in that backfield. I would expect Jordan Davis to be a significant part of the DL rotation from day 1.”

Some didn’t like the Eagles picking Jordan Davis where they did. But he’s a camp stand out so far, with many reporters repeatedly emphasizing how big he is.
