Andrew Salciunas's Morning Thoughts

Andrew woke up this morning thinking about the lottery. Mega Million is up to over $600 Million. The usual things people think of with winning the lottery are charity, paying off debt, plus a new house and car. But Andrew took it in a different direction. He was thinking about petty things you could do with those winnings.

Ideas that came up included buying out all the tickets behind home plate for the Mets, or the ones behind the Celtics bench. That way, the cameras at those games would pick up empty seats, so it looks like the Mets' have no fans. But Andrew took it a step further, and suggested not leaving it empty, but giving them to Phillies or Sixers fans.

Listeners checked in and suggested things like hiring a marching band to follow around their ex-girlfriend, and one listener took it to a weird place and said they would do something not so nice to their boss's desk, i.e. what Todd Packer did to Michael Scott in The Office.

Tom Alvord's Morning Thoughts

Tom woke up thinking about alternate team jerseys and helmets. The Giants and Cowboys both announced alternatives to their usual gear. And it made Tom wonder why the restrictions on what teams and players can wear are so strict.

Why did it take so long for the Eagles' to be able to bring back Kelly Green as an alternate? Why are the cleats a player can wear so regulated by the league? It brought them back to a story where DeAngelo Williams was fined by the league for wearing "Find The Cure" eye black to honor his mother and Aunts who died of breast cancer. He also requested to wear pink shoelaces, and wristbands, all year to continue honoring them but was told he couldn't do so by the league offices.

And That is what Andrew and Tom woke up thinking about. If you want to listen to the full segment, you can do so right here...
