Bryce Harper has been AS ADVERTISED since he signed and he just won his second career MVP, the first Phillies player to do so since 2007

Bryce Harper looks like he will be returning to the All-Star game for the first time since 2018. The reigning NL MVP is leading all designated hitters in votes by almost 500,000. It would surprisingly be Harper’s first trip to the All-Star game in a Phillies uniform, having played in the game 6 times with the Washington Nationals.

Harper is VERY deserving as he looks to get his 3rd MVP award this season. Harper is currently hitting .326/.391/.622 with 15 home runs, 48 RBI, and 8 stolen bases. All of this is with a bad elbow which has kept him out of right field, his natural position.

5 Players The Phillies Could Target In The MLB Draft

While the All-Star game no longer matters, its still cool to see fans recognize one of the league’s best players. You would think that Harper is a virtual lock, and Zach Wheeler would join him. Hopefully by that point the Phillies are firmly in a playoff spot
