NBA on TNT star Kenny Smith joined Pat Egan from the John Kincade Show. Kenny is one of the stars of the new Netflix movie “Hustle” where he plays agent Leon Rich. Kenny was promoting Hustle but also talked Sixers as they are about to embark on an important off-season.

At the premier Kenny grabbed the mic and told the crowd what the Sixers need to do to get to the finals next season:

“The Sixers will be in the NBA Finals if they don’t panic. You can do it (with the current roster) but you cant do it if you’re bringing in guys in February and March. So if they don’t panic, I’ll be in Philadelphia next year”

James Harden had a lackluster playoff run and Pat asked Kenny what he thought of yet another second round exit:

“I think hes a new player on a new team. So hes going to have his highs and lows. I think that the newness of what he was bringing to the team…I think it was unrealistic to think he was bringing a championship. I never thought that was a realistic goal.”

Kenny also discussed what it was like to film the movie, catching up with the NBA fraternity in the flick, and Shaq bumping tunes during the NBA on TNT. Check out the film interview below.
