After much speculation, it appears James Harden will be staying in Philly for the foreseeable future, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. He was always expected to return, but it was never clear how. Him just playing on his player option was a possibility. As was him getting a long-term Max Extension. But it seems the Sixers will get to hold onto him, without making a long-term commitment.
The nature of this contract is not yet known. Some have reported it will be a 2-year deal, but nothing official. Harden is still looking for his first NBA Finals, and will be sticking in Philly to try and get it.
