ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter joined the John Kincade Show for a rare TUESDAY hit. Normally Schefter can be heard on Wednesdays at 8:10am but Schefter had a flight so we had to move it and it was a welcomed distraction from the Sixers game. Schefter started off the conversation talking about the Eagles blockbuster trade for AJ Brown

"It was a fast moving trade that came together. They got an elite, 24 year old wide receiver."

The conversation then moved to the actual draft. One of the biggest surprises was linebacker Nakobe Dean falling to the Eagles in the 3rd round. Schefter had high praise for the former Bulldog.

"The guy, to me, is a Jonathan Vilma type linebacker. Its a no brainer to me (to scoop him up.)"

The Eagles did not address safety in the draft, with many fans believing that the Eagles could be in play for Tyrann Mathieu. But Schefter didn't think that was ever real.

"I think (the Eagles) believed all along (Mathieu) was going to New Orleans all along," Schefter told the guys. "I think they realized where he was destined to be all along. Its not like they stepped up their offer at the last second."
