After a 3 game road trip, the Sixers are finally home. But their first game back in Philly will be a tough one. The Sixers face the Bucks tonight. Both teams are 46-28 and find themselves with a share of the 2 seed for now.
This will be the third and final time the two teams face each other this year. The series is tied 1-1. Bucks took the first game back in November. The Sixers tied the season series up back in February in what was the last game before the All-Star game. Embiid dropped 42pts in the game, with 14 rebounds, and shot 14-21. Embiid did not play in the game the Sixers lost, nor did Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, or Matisse Thybulle. Maxey scored 31 in their absence. This time the Sixers are expected to have Embiid, Thybulle, Harris, and now James Harden.
Embiid may have some extra motivation after Tim Bontemps reported that a poll shows Nikola Jokic is in the lead for the MVP vote. A game vs a fellow MVP candidate, and another highly competitive team, may have sway in how the MVP vote goes.
For those of you curious to hear more about the MVP Straw Poll, including how the vote shifted from last time and how it could again over the next couple weeks, talked about it in-depth on the @ESPN YouTube channel: https://t.co/IYwr9P4z9Q pic.twitter.com/nUjClWu4Be— Tim Bontemps (@TimBontemps) March 29, 2022
The only player on either injury report is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is listed as day-to-day, but is expected to play.
