According to NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Jim Salisbury the Phillies have an agreement with free agent outfielder Kyle Schwarber

Not much is known at this time, like years and money. The Phillies have long been linked to Schwarber as the Phillies new hitting coach Kevin Long has a strong relationship with the former Cub.

Schwarber is kind of a boom bust player. When he connects, he is hitting bombs. Last season he hit .266/.374/.544 in what was a career year for Schwarber. He hit 32 home runs between the Nationals and the Red Sox.

UPDATE:

According to The Athletic’s Jayson Stark it is a 4 year deal for just under $20 million a year
