Claude Giroux played his seventh All-star game this weekend in Viva Las Vegas. Giroux was named captain of the Metropolitan division and led them to victory. The Metro won the championship game 5-3 against the Central division.
Giroux scored one goal in the first game against the Pacific division and two goals in the championship game. Giroux’s leadership and goal scoring lead him to being named MVP for the third time in Flyers history. Giroux said he had a blast being able to spend time with his wife Ryanne and oldest son, Gavin. The captain even mentioned they’re spending an extra day in Vegas due to the fun family time they’re having.
With All-star weekend coming to a close our focus is back to the continuation of the season. The Flyers won two games in a row before the break. This past Tuesday the Flyers grounded the Jets with a 3-1 win. Hopefully the momentum continues this Wednesday when the Red Wings come to Philly.
