In the latest chapter of “As Ben Simmons World Turns” we have an update from Shams Charania of The Athletic. According to Charania the Sixers are now expected to pursue a deal with the Brooklyn Nets BEFORE Thursday’s NBA trade deadline. But why this story is newsworthy is because The Brooklyn Nets are suddenly open to moving the former MVP.

In recent weeks it has been heavily speculated that Harden has a desire to play in Philly. He was expected to sign an extension with the Nets before the season, but ultimately didnt. His play style doesnt exactly fit Brooklyn’s scheme, and the relationship between Harden and Morey is VERY real. Put all that in a pot and baby you got a stew going.

Charania adds that just because the Nets are open to a deal, doesnt mean one will come to fruition. Ben Simmons would obviously be the key piece from the Sixers, but players like Matisse Thybulle could interest the Nets. The good news is, this will all be over by Thursday….maybe
