The Flyers break their longest losing streak in franchise history against the Kings, (4-3). The Flyers lost against the Islanders this past Tuesday making a historic losing streak with thirteen in a row.

Before the game, the Flyers organization did honor Keith Yandle with his ironman title of playing the most consecutive games in NHL history,(965).

Gerry Mayhew got the Flyers on the board (1-0) in the first. Early in the second Cam Atkinson rebounds giving the Flyers a two goal lead (2-0).With the Kings cutting the lead in half the Flyers go into the third period still grasping onto their lead, (2-1).

A little over half way through the third Cam Atkinson is able to get a short-handed goal extending the Flyers lead back to two, (3-1). The Kings respond and tie up the game at three, which draws the Flyers into over-time.

Luckily, the Flyers came with vengeance today and Scott Laughton was able to put the puck in the back of the net giving the Flyers a victory, (4-3). “I felt like we were dangerous every shift out there,” Said Mike Yeo, regarding over-time.

With a much needed win, the Flyers look for another victory as they take on the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday. Puck Drop is 7pm.
