Charles Barkley might technically be from Alabama, but his got the tri-state area in his heart. The former NBA MVP still has a house in the area, and lives here in the Summer. He is always willing to come on the Mike Missanelli show, and always defends Philly when hes on the NBA on TNT set. When Shaq gave a shout out to John Kincade, Charles Barkley was right there to give a shout out to Mike Missanelli. But its a Delaware landmark that appears to be the inspiration for the name of Charles daughter.

In 1989 Charles and his wife Maureen welcomed their daughter Christiana into the world. But on a recent episode of “The Steam Room” with his NBA on TNT co-host Ernie Johnson, Barkley revealed that the inspiration for his daughters name came from none other than the Christiana Mall.

Was it the name? No. Charles named his daughter Christiana because he liked the mall. And I get it. Anyone who has been to that mall knows its incredible. Marketing for the mall needs to hop all over this!
