ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter joined the John Kincade Show for his weekly hit (every Wednesday 8:10am.) The Eagles continue rolling since Nick Sirianni decided to change up his gameplan to a more running attack. Schefter , who always thought the Eagles would win more than 7 games, was very complimentary of what hes watched.

“It’s a team that I think is capable of winning now and is certainly designed with an eye on the future with all of the 1sts [round picks]. And so they’re sitting in a pretty good spot right now, and 5 and 6, the schedule if you look at it is a reason that I have the Philadelphia Eagles D on my fantasy team, and the schedule is set up for them to do well.”

Before the Eagles beat the Saints on Sunday they announced two extensions for members of the 2018 draft class. Its a class that while the Eagles didnt have many picks, they hit on just about all of them. Schefter discussed the Eagles recent success at finding talent in the NFL draft.

“Those are successful drafts by most measures, and yes, could the drafting record, the track record, for earlier picks have been better? Yes. Could they have hit on certain guys like Justin Jefferson? Oh yeah… But as a whole, when you look at it, it’s strong. Early on, which is where people pay attention to most of all there have been some misses, but there are misses everywhere.”
