Schefter Discusses The Trade Deadline, Eagles QB Situation
NFL Insider Adam Schefter joined the John Kincade Show for his weekly hit. With the NFL trade deadline set for Tuesday (Nov 2.) at 4pm, Schefter was asked about what the Eagles might do. Howie Roseman has already traded veterans Zach Ertz, and Joe Flacco, but should we expect anyone else to be gone by November 2nd? Actually, Schefter thinks it could be the opposite!
“I think they could trade for a player, with the long term view in mind, So I dont think theyre just sellers.”
The conversation then turned towards Nick Sirianni, who looks completely lost in the role as head coach. But Schefter wanted to remind Philadelphia that Rome wasn’t built in a day.
“The lack of patience that people have with coaches, front offices, and quarterbacks. People want results early. These things sometimes take time.”
And what about the quarterback? Jalen Hurts hasn’t looked like the franchise quarterback and that means the Eagles could be in the market for another quarterback. And they could be big game hunting.
“Theyre going to have, right now it looks like, three first round picks in the top 20. Two in the top 10. SO they are going to be armed to do what they want to do this offseason. Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson, and Aaron Rodgers could be available. So to me, before you do ANYTHING those are the first three names you have to get answers on.”
