ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter had his weekly hit with the John Kincade Show (8:10am every Wednesday) where he discusses all things Eagles with John, Bob, and Jamie. After week 1 many were sold on Jalen Hurts but after a shaky week 2 performance many have stepped back a bit. But Schefter doesnt think Hurts has been the problem;

“I think people are impressed with the guy. I dont think Jalen Hurts is the issue so far. Hes played pretty well”

But that led into a conversation about the Eagles organization being reluctant to go “all-in” on Hurts. John Kincade pointed to Sirianni’s reluctance to have Hurts throw in the middle of the field as an example that MAYBE the Eagles have some reservations on Hurts’ game.

“They like Jalen Hurts, but they arent in on him like Buffalo is on Josh Allen or, to a lesser extent, Carolina is on Same Darnold,” Schefter told the guys. “You just havent heard this embracing of Jalen Hurts thats unquestioned. But theres something thats preventing them from having this all-in, all-out commitment to Jalen Hurts. And Maybe thats it John.”

The conversation then moved to this weeks oppont, the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys will take on the Eagles on Monday night and both teams have a 1-1 record but one team has been more impressive to Schefty;

“The Dallas Cowboys, despite having this 1-1 record, I think have been more impressive so far than people have realized.”
