Arguably the greatest soccer player the world has ever seen has found a new home. Lionel Messi has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain F.C. on a 2 year deal worth $80 million. This coming after Messi announced that he was leaving the only team he has ever known, Argentinian squad Barcelona.

Barcelona reportedly made a last ditch effort to keep the 6 time Ballon D’or winner, but after 21 years he decided that Paris was where he wanted to be. Messi scored 474 goals for Barcelona in 464 starts. Not bad for a guy who was originally deemed “too small” and undersized, and who signed his first contract on a napkin. During his time with Barcelona he helped the team win 10 championships in La Liga. He joins a powerhouse in PSG who is used to winning….a lot.

Apparently Messi didnt hear the news that Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin dropped on the John Kincade show when he proclaimed that he would GLADLY take Messi, and would even coach him for free! Maybe in 2 years Messi will be ready to DOOP it up in Chester.
