The Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to a 3 year contract extension with goalie Carter Hart per Frank Seravalli. Chris Johnston from Sportsnet up in Canada is reporting that the deal is at $3.98 AAV. This move leaves the Flyers with around $4 million left in cap space.

If youre wondering, this move is not a surprise at all. Hart was a restricted free agent and a bridge deal is understandable considering the poor performance during the 2020 (? Technically it started in 2021….LAST SEASON.) But if Hart can rebound to the form that he showed early on in his Flyers tenure than you are looking at an absolute STEAL at $4 million per for a goaltender. Flyers drop the puck October 15th against Vancouver and Carter Hart is expected to be in net
