The Philadelphia Flyers are in full offseason move and GM Chuck Fletcher pulled off a big one today. Acquiring defenseman Ryan Ellis from the Nashville Predators in a 3 team trade. The Flyers sent Phillipe Myers and former #2 overall pick Nolan Patrick (who was sent to Vegas.)

Ellis was actually featured on our fixes for the Flyers defense back in March. The Flyers have long been linked to the 30 year old. Ellis is exactly what the Flyers need. He fills the void that was left when Matt Niskanen retired last season. He played in 35 games for Nashville last season and had 18 points. Hes locked up for a WHILE too. At a cap hit of $6.25 million he wont hit free agency until 2027.
