Doc Rivers, leader of men, joined the John Kincade show, to discuss the Sixers first round matchup against the Washington Wizards. The Wizards snuck into the 8th seed by beating Indiana, and have an incredible backcourt with Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook. Doc was asked about that backcourt and the two stars “getting theirs”

“When Rus and Brad are allowed to be themselves they are really good. Were not gonna stop either one, but we have to make it really difficult.”

Doc also gave his take on the difference between regular season basketball and playoff basketball

“Both teams are better prepared than in the regular season,” Rivers said. “You have 1 team to prepare for. And the focus is much bigger.”

The team struggled towards the end of the season and it IS something Rivers noticed. But hes not overly concerned about it.

“I dont like the way we were playing at the end, but that doesn’t matter now. I do like the how we’ve been practicing.”
