The JT Realmuto situation could soon be wrapped up. According to Jon Heyman of The MLB Network the two sides are close to a deal.

This has been a ongoing story through all of last season. They took him to arbitration, then failed to sign him to an extension and let him get to free agency. But with Realmuto's potential destinations dwindling, it seems more likely he returns to the Phillies.

Over two seasons with the Phillies Realmuto has hit .273. with 36 homeruns. He has won old Gold Glove, one Silver Slugger award, and also made the All Star game his first year here. Realmuto is 29 years old, and will be 30 before the start of the season.
