LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - JUNE 06: In this handout image provided by UFC, (L-R) Neil Magny punches Anthony Rocco Martin in their welterweight bout during the UFC 250 event at UFC APEX on June 06, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The UFC returns for a rare midweek morning card. If youre working from home, this could be the perfect thing to put on as you sit through another boring zoom call. Its a very deep card, so you can sit back and get your morning off right with men smashing each other in a cage.

Here are some specifics. The under card kicks off at 9am, with the main card starting at 12pm. You can watch the entire card on ESPN/ESPN+. All 28 fighters made weight!

I will give you my predictions in the order the fights are to take place. All odds are curtousey of Bet MGM. The King of Sports Books! For new users head on over there and use the promocode PatEgan100 and put just $1 on Conor McGregor to beat Dustin Poirier and you will win $100 in free bets!

MAIN EVENT TIME

Lerone Murphy VS Douglas Andrade

Murphy’s last time out was an impressive performance on the first fight island card. He returns against a very tough opponent in Douglas Andrade. Im not confident in this one, Muprhy is a heavy underdog, but I like him in this one. I like him to carry his strong performance last go round and stay undefeated at Fight Island

Lerone Murphy -300

Tyson Nam VS Matt Schnell

Tyson Nam enters this fight on a two fight winning streak, having finished both of his previous opponents in epic fashion. The vet rebounded against his first two losses in the UFC to two very tough opponents (Kai Kara-France and Sergio Pettis) with that said, I really like Schnell in this one. He was riding a 4 fight win streak until he ran into a buzzsaw named Alexander Pantoja. I like Schnell to rag doll Nam for 3 rounds and get the decision win.

Matt Schnell +120

Roxanne Modafferi VS Viviane Araujo

My biggest lock of the night is Araujo dominates Modafferi. Modafferi beat a one legged Macee Barber, and you still have to win the fight, and she certainly did that, but if that doesnt happen Modafferi could be coming into this fight 1-4 in her last 5 fights. instead shes 2-3 with the Barber fight having to be labled with an asterisk. Its gonna be a rough one for Roxy

Viviane Araujo (lock) -350

Ike Villanueva VS Vinicius Moreira

This is a loser leaves town fight as both guys are looking at a pink slip if they lose. That makes for an exciting fight in the WWE but in the UFC its usually gross. Ill go with Moreira because hes faced stiffer competition in the UFC. Maybe the desperation will lead to an amazing fight between two sub-par fighters. Considering that both guys have been finished in in all of their fights in the UFC I would say put some units on this one ending inside distance (not going to a decision)

Vinicius Moreira +120

Mounir Lazzez VS Warlley Alves

Ring rust is a real concern with Alves in this one. He hasnt fought since November 2019 when he lost to Randy Brown. Lazzez on the other hand is coming off a fight of the night performance where he came out on top against  Abdul Razak Alhassan. I think Lazzez wins, but im not oozing confidence in this once.

Mounir Lazzez -225

Michael Chiesa VS Neil Magny

Originally this was the co-main event. We were supposed to see the return of Leon Edwards when he was set to take on sensation Khamzat Chimaev. That fight fell through which led to this one getting the bump up. Its a striker (Magny) VS grappler (Chiesa) and I like Magny. The UFC has brought Chiesa on slowly in the welterweight division. Giving him names, but names that are way past their prime. Carlos Condit, Diego Sanchez, and RDA who returned to light weight. Magny is his first TRUE test.

Magny’s take down defense has been suspect in the past and Chiesa is a monster on the ground. But im going with Magny because of his size advantage which should help him stuff some of Chiesa’s shots. I also like the fact that Magny trains with team elevation. Hes taken his game to the next level. I like this one to go all 5 rounds and Magny to get the win.

Neil Magny -145
