Eagles Lose Important Position Coach
According to Bruce Feldman the Eagles are losing another coach, this time to the premier college program; Alabama.
Look for #Eagles OL coach Jeff Stoutland to replace Kyle Flood (off to Texas) as #Alabama’s offensive line coach. Stoutland who was the Tide’s OL coach in 2011-12, and Nick Saban go back a long time.

This is an interesting move for Stoutland, who joined the Eagles in 2013 under Chip Kelly. Stoutland was widely regarded in the NFL as one of the better offensive line coaches in football, having helped developed former fifth round pick Halapoulivaati Vaitai, who got paid by the Lions to be their starting left tackle. He also helped develop former 3rd rounder Isaac Seumalo into the teams starting left guard. Maybe his biggest accomplishment was turning former Australian rules footballer Jordan Mailiata who had never played football before and looks to be the teams left tackle for the next decade.
The move back to college seems like a lateral (?) move if not a step back. Which means there might be more to this story than is initially being reported.
