Adam Schefter’s report that Carson Wentz may want out of Philadelphia if this current situation remains the same for the 2021 season. The initial story hit twitter timelines Sunday

Because folks tend to take things and run with them, the narrative became that Carson Wentz is selfish. Doesnt want to compete. And wanted out of Philadelphia. Our own Rob Maaddi, who covers the Eagles for the AP, tried to clear things up with his own reporting

But even then. People didnt want to hear it. The narrative in their head was set. So Adam Schefter joined the morning show Wednesday and broke it down.

“This is all common sense. (Wentz’) is not happy that he’s playing backup. He’s playing the good soldier. He’s being supportive. He’s not publicly complaining. But that doesnt change the way of how he feels. He doesnt want to be a backup quarterback. Who does? And if he wanted to be a backup you’d question the mental makeup of the man himself”
