According to Adam Schefter (who you can hear every Wednesday morning at 8am.) Carson Wentz isnt here to be a backup. Wentz isnt pleased with being a backup QB and could ask for a trade out of town.

Combine this with the fact that the Eagles, according to all reports, dont plan on playing Wentz for the rest of the season, electing to see what they have in their second round pick Jalen Hurts.

Schefter also points out that there would be many teams interested in trading for Wentz and this situation is fluid.

I think we forget the human element of all this too often. How does Carson Wentz feel and what has this done to his physche? Wentz has dealt with injuries, his backup leading the team to a Super Bowl, and then the drafting of his backup/replacement in a high round. Some fans just dont care, and I understand it, but I cant imagine Wentz was too happy about all of this. Did it effect his play this season? Who knows. I happen to believe the four seasons of solid, to at times elite play is more of who he is than the guy we saw this past season.

It appears that Wentz coming in and competing with Hurts for next season might not happen. Keep it on the Fanatic, well keep you updated.
