The John Kincade Show – Weekdays 6am – 10am

Weekdays 6am - 10am

Last Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles spent the 21st overall pick on WR Jalen Reagor out of TCU. Thursday morning he joined Marc Farzetta & Bob Cooney  to talk about his past week & what becoming a Philadelphia Eagle has been like.  Many fans & analysts thought Reagor’s selection ahead of LSU’s WR Justin Jefferson was a bold one for the Eagles to take, including our own Marc & Bob. They addressed this topic right off the start of the interview & Reagor handled it like a veteran of the league.

Obviously these are exactly the types of things you want to hear from a rookie who’s head is probably swimming from his new life, he can only worry about himself. When later asked about how he’s staying busy during quarantine, Reagor had another savvy answer ready & said “I’ve been spending a lot of my time finding creative ways to work out & stay in shape”. Jalen appears to have tunnel focus already & he’ll need that in what appears to be a shortened NFL off-season.

Jalen said that he’s already talked to a couple of his new teammates including the QB Carson Wentz & WR’s Alshon Jeffrey & Desean Jackson. All the guys had the right things to say to the rookie & Jalen even congratulated Carson on the birth of his daughter this past week. The one that caught a lot of fans ears was Alshon Jeffrey, he had this to say to Reagor.

A lot of people assumed that Alshon wouldn’t be back with the team this year but it appears that might not be the case. Alshon is doing his best to set an example for the young WR. There could be a good amount of talent in that WR room this year & Jalen also talked about his comparisons he’s drawn to current Eagles WR Desean Jackson.

He was thrilled at the comparison & noted that the thing that he admires most about Desean is his versatility & even made mention of returning punts. “I’ve been YouTubing Desean Jackson (during the quarantine) & watching some of the highlights & it’s crazy that guys my teammate now”. He’s really looking forward to learning from Desean & his other teammates & should bring an exciting element to the offense next year.
