The NFL’s offseason will continue on schedule despite coronavirus concerns.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL will not delay the start of the new league year, which officially begins on March 18th.   That’s the date teams can begin trading players and signing free agents.

The NFL’s ‘legal tampering’ period, where players and agents can start negotiating with teams, will also begin as scheduled on Monday, March 16th.

The coronavirus outbreak could still impact free agency if players or agents are reluctant to travel for team visits. Several teams have already pulled scouts and coaches from attending Pro Days or other road trips.
