With the NHL regular season coming to a close and the playoffs around the corner teams are gearing up. Teams are taking teams photos and getting in some last minute chuckles before they put everything on the line.

With the playoffs approaching the Philadelphia Flyers probably didn’t need to seek much motivation or inspiration. The team has been on fire and has won 9 straight games and has been racing for first place in the Metropolitan division.

Being able to win the division can be enough motivation, but the Flyers have used another reason for their memorable season.

Oskar Lindblom joined the team on Monday for the team photo.

Lindblom has been out since December after learning he has Ewing’s sarcoma. Lindblom has been receiving treatment for the rare bone cancer and before the diagnostic he was tied for the lead on the team with 11 goals.

Teammates have been spotted wearing OSKAR STRONG t-shirts and showing their support for their fellow teammate.

The city of Philadelphia has shown their support and Claude Giroux noticed “It’s not only us in the locker room that’s behind him and the coaches, it’s the whole city.”

The rest of this season has been dedicated to Oskar and with the Flyers on a hot streak; playing inspired hockey will be exciting to watch.
