Philadelphia Flyers winger, James van Riemsdyk broke his right hand Wendesday while blocking a shot during the Capitals game during the first period.

The Flyers got their seventh straight victory in a 5-2 win, but van Riemsdyk is expected to miss some time.

He’s been on their third line during their winning streak and has 19 goals and 21 assists in 65 games this season and his fellow players credit van Riemsdyk for his role in getting those wins.

It appears Joel Farabee will replace van Riemsdyk while he recovers.
