The Sixers nearly let a win slip away against the Atlanta Hawks last night, but luckily Joel Embiid came to play. With Simmons still out with a back injury, Embiid stepped up to the plate and delivered for his team and the fans. In 36 minutes of play, the big man had a career high 49 points with 14 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 assists and a block to go along with it. He became the first Sixer to record 49 points and 14 rebounds in a game since Moses Malone in 1984. Can Embiid consistently play this well while Simmons remains out and as the team fights for a better seed in the playoffs?
