2019 Playoff Picture for the NFC East
The Eagles have won one game since the first week of November, but their chances of reaching the playoffs isn’t over. With the Cowboys loss to the Bears Thursday night the Eagles actually increase their playoff chances from 34 percent to 41 percent according to the website fivethirtyeight.com.
The Dallas loss definitely helps Philadelphia but there is still work to be done. The Eagles need to beat the Cowboys and their three other games to guarantee they win the NFC East. Right now they are 5-7 and the Cowboys 6-7.
If the Cowboys lose to the Eagles, but beat the Rams and Redskins, it would still leave them 5-1 in the NFC East.
However, the Cowboys’ latest loss does help the Eagles. If the Cowboys lose to the Rams or Redskins the Eagles could lose one of their remaining games and still win the division as long as they beat the Cowboys.
