The NBA wasn’t too happy about Wednesday night’s bench-clearing brawl in Philadelphia, slapping Karl-Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid with a two-game suspension on Thursday.

Both players were ejected following the altercation, but the league felt a bigger penalty was necessary since the altercation continued after the initial incident.

Embiid will begin serving his suspension Saturday when the Sixers take on the Trail Blazers.

Ben Simmons did not receive and disciplinary action, the NBA saw him as a peacekeeper who tried to pull the pair apart.
