The Philadelphia Phillies will hold a press conference at 1 p.m. Monday to formally introduce Joe Girardi, the 55th manager in franchise history.
Giradi has a pretty impressive resume in his 10 seasons with the New York Yankees. He won 910 regular season games, helf a 28-24 record in postseason, and won the 2009 World Series.
Girardi also spent the past two seasons away from the field, but was a baseball analyst for MLB Network and Fox Sports.
Girardi replaces Gabe Kapler who was fired on October 10 after spending two seasons with the Phillies.
