Carli Lloyd Seriously Considering NFL Career
By now you’ve probably seen the video of U.S. women’s national team star Carli Lloyd making a 55-yard field goal at Eagles practice. The viral video prompted the conversation that Lloyd could one day become an NFL kicker.
Lloyd told NBC Sports Philadelphia‘s Gregg Murphy that the whole thing took her by surprise and she just casually brought her boots to Eagles practice and nailed a 55 yard kick on her first try.
Lloyd told Murphy, “I don’t want to go in there blindly. I want to actually attempt to do it (the right way), but I know that I definitely could do it, because anything I set my mind to do I can do it and I actually do kick balls for a living. So, yeah, it’s all about the technique, and we’ll see what happens, but I’m now entertaining the idea.”
