2019 NBA Draft: Sixers Select Washington’s Matisse Thybulle in 1st Round
Thursday night the Sixers made a trade with the Boston Celtics for the 20th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and selected Matisse Thybulle from the University of Washington.
Thybulle is a two time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and has averaged 9.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 31.1 minutes per game last season. The 22 year old is 6-foot-5, 195 pounds, and shot 85% from the free throw line last season.
In regards to the Sixers, Thybulle told Farzetta and Tra in the Morning “They were one of the teams I wanted to be apart of from the start because I know they have a great young core with Ben & Joel & I knew I could contribute right away & for such a great city”
Thybulle is the first player to be drafted by Sixers GM, Elton Brand and excited to be a part of it.
