Just a few months shy of the 10 year anniversary of the Phillies 2008 World Series Championship, “The Flyin’ Hawaiian” Shane Victorino will retire from baseball as a Phillie.

He will sign a one-day contract to officially retire on August 3rd during Alumni Weekend when the Phillies honor the 08′ World Series team.

He announced his retirement on his Instagram page.
